Dr. Lynn Embry
As a licensed professional and national board certified counselor, I enjoy helping others understand the psychology behind behaviors and learn to handle stress in a healthy way. My background is in education and counseling with advanced training in psychology and mental health treatment. Before working in private practice, I was an elementary school teacher and a school counselor. I received my doctorate degree in counselor education and supervision from The University of Alabama in 1995. I also hold a counseling degree from Samford University and am trained in LearnDrPhil as practiced by Dr. Phil McGraw and taught by Dr. Frank Lawlis. I am also a certified as an SAP counselor for substance abuse evaluations for the D.O.T. I have been in private practice for seventeen years.
I particularly enjoy helping people better themselves, improve their relationships and mental health, and learn to control their emotions.
